Who is Jack Skellington?

A great hit since its release in 1993, The Nightmare Before Christmas—distributed and licensed by Walt Disney Pictures since 2006—is a stop-motion fantasy musical produced by the iconic filmmaker Tim Burton with a memorable score by Danny Elfman. The story follows the skeletal Jack Skellington, the "Pumpkin King," the star of Halloween Town's annual festivities. However, weary and bored of the same monotonous Halloween celebrations, Jack wanders through his spooky town until he stumbles upon Christmas Town. With the ability to foresee disasters, she fears Jack’s plans will lead to calamity, and since she’s also an amateur toxicologist, she uses her skills to escape captivity. Joining Jack is his loyal ghost-dog, Zero, with a tiny glowing nose. Exploring the Jack Skellington statue: On top of a small, curved hill on a cemetery in a dreamlike world inhabited by eerie creatures, grotesque monsters, ghosts, goblins, vampires, werewolves, and witches, stands the slender figure of the Pumpkin King. Elegantly dressed in his traditional black pinstriped tailcoat with a bat-shaped bowtie, Jack Skellington takes his place at the peak of the hill, poetically raising his right hand to his chest!
