Released as a double album on 18th November 2016, "Hardwired... To Self-Destruct" is the tenth studio album by American heavy metal band Metallica. The album was the band's sixth consecutive studio album to debut at number one on the US Billboard 200, selling 291,000 album-equivalent units in it's first week, and topping the charts in 57 countries. In April 2017 the album was certified platinum by the RIAA and in 2020 Lars Ulrich ranked "Hardwired... " as his favourite Metallica album.
