Speed Madness Flying Saucers

Vinyl LP pressing. First wave Sydney punk rock band formed in 1977. After a couple of 7" EP's, Hilton Bomber and Food For Thoughtcrimes, they set about recording an album. Speed. Madness.. Flying Saucers... was their debut album and has been unavailable since 1980. Swankly packaged with four page 12" booklet featuring lot's of rare ephemera, posters and flyers, lyrics and the illustration found in the original gatefold artwork. The "angular, fast and quirky punk rock" of the Thought Criminals "was a fixture in the burgeoning Sydney underground scene." The band's name was derived from the concept of 'thoughtcrimes' (unapproved thoughts) from George Orwell's book, 1984. The Thought Criminals exemplified the do-it-yourself punk ethos of the late 1970s, with which they combined considerable business acumen.
